About me

Welcome! My name is Janet Brandt, and I was born and raised in the Kinderdijk area as the granddaughter of a miller.

After spending 17 years living and working abroad – the last 9 years as a program director on board river cruise ships – I returned home. For the past years, I’ve been guiding local tours and working on a traditional cheese farm. Both of wich i love!

In the winter of 2025, I’ll be launching my own private tour company for those who want to discover the real Dutch countryside — away from the busy tourist spots, and closer to nature and everyday life.

This region holds a special place in my heart, and I’d love to show you its hidden gems. Not just the iconic windmills, but also the peaceful fields, charming farms, and the stories of the people who live here.
